Shutterfly Holiday Cards

offering 20% off all holiday cards

I recently came across Shutterfly's website (http://www.shutterfly.com ) and started browsing through their selection of greeting cards.  They have such a wide variety of holiday cards, from tradition to contemporary, religious to casual, simple to elaborate.  I just love how these cards can be personalized with your family's photos. Their selection of greeting cards includes Folded Greeting Cards (5x7) and Flat Stationary Cards (5x5 and 5x7) printed on premium cardstock and Flat Photo Cards (4x8 and 5x7) printed on high-quality matte or glossy photo paper.  You can see all their variety at http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationary.
This is my personal favorite greeting card layout.  I chose it by going to http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationary/christmas-cards.  I love myself a blue Christmas, and many of our decorations are snowmen.  I like this layout because it allows for a larger family picture and two smaller pictures for each of my children. I plan on taking advantage of the great offer and purchasing these greeting cards to send out this year.  The fun part is choosing the photos and adding my own personal message to my loved ones.

I think it's such a great idea to send photo greeting cards to let those special people in your life see you and your family, especially if the recipients are people who don't get to see you and your children all that often.  I know it's always a real treat for me when I receive photo greeting cards from family and friends.  I just love seeing those pictures!
Now you can get your own photo greeting cards from Shutterfly and take advantage of their great offer!  Shutterfly is offering 20% off all holiday cards if you visit http://www.shutterfly.com/cards-stationary.  And keep in mind that Shutterfly offers so much more than just greeting cards.  Visit them for their selection of other photo gifts and cards as well!  Find out how you can get 50 free holiday cards from Shutterfly http://bit.ly/sfly2010.

How To Save Easy Money Each Month

I am in LOVE with coupons!  They are such a fast and easy way to save money on so many different things.  I've realized that you could save so much money grocery shopping just by using coupons, stacking coupons, and shopping for items when they're on sale and stockpiling.

Many stores allow you to use a store coupon and a manufacturer coupon for a single item.  For instance, if I'm at Ralphs and I want to buy diapers, I can use a manufacturer's coupon and a Ralphs coupon towards ONE package of diapers.  Use those two coupons when the diapers are already on sale and you get a HUGE savings!

I now tend to buy lots of items that I use when they're on sale to create a stockpile.  When pasta sauce, tomato sauce, or chicken broth go on sale for instance, I purchase A LOT, especially if I have coupons.  Items like these that are not quickly perishable are good to stock up on.  I try to never buy an item at regular price unless I absolutely need to.  After a while, you'll start to notice a pattern as to when certain items go on sale and you'll be able to shop accordingly.

I like shopping at stores like Ralphs that have rewards programs.  It's an incentive to shop there because you earn points on your purchases and at the end of the quarter you get money back.  I figure, if I'm going to do the shopping anyway, I may as well look for opportunities to get money back where I can.

I not only use coupons in store, but online as well. The internet is a wonderful thing and a great resource for finding savings.  Whenever I want to purchase something online, I first try and search for coupon codes.  You can find codes for free shipping, a percentage off or sometimes even free items.  Here are some of the sites that I like.

I always get the Sunday paper, which is packed with lots of coupons and savings inside.  I use an internet site (www.sundaycouponpreview.com) to preview which inserts will be in the paper each week (Smart Source, Red Plum, P&G, etc) and buy extra copies accordingly.  A Sunday paper ranges from $1-$2 in my area, but I get so much more than that in savings.   There are also great sites online that offer free coupons that you can print out at home.  You can also go directly to a company's website to try and find coupons and samples.

All in all, there are so many different ways to save big bucks when spending some time clipping coupons.   Yes, it takes some time to do, but in the end the savings are worth it...at least for me.  Happy couponing!  Check back in the next few weeks for some coupon giveaways!

What To Do When Your Toddler's Favorite Item Is Destroyed?!?!?

Okay, well in my case, maybe not destroyed...yet!  My son has a pillow that he uses to sleep.  I have washed it several times and have tried having another one made as a back up.  Well, the extra wasn't "the same" and he rejected it.  It has now become his sister's pillow.  Well, today I washed his pillow again and it came out of the washer with a hole!  Needless to say, I am in PANIC mode.  I went online to try and find the same fabric, but I couldn't. :/  I found three that look similar, so I ordered them and I'm crossing my fingers that he'll accept at least one of them.  I'm really hoping he does, and if he does, I plan on buying a lot more for back up!

It's always good practice, I've found, to have at least one extra of your child's favorite items.  You just never know when you're going to lose, break, or have something just fall apart on you, so I figure it's better to be safe than sorry and get an extra.  If you're lucky, you'll never need the extra items and you can use them with another child or give away to someone else.

I learned that the hard way early on.  My son would ONLY take the pacifier they gave him at the hospital that you seem to only be able to find at the hospital.  By the time I found others, it was too late and he just knew which was his.  It was difficult when it was bed or nap time and we had to turn the house upside down to find the ONE pacifier he would take.  I'm just glad his sister hasn't been that way yet.

I'm really hoping the new fabrics will be to his liking, and if not, then I'm simply going to have to wean.  Let him spend the day with his new pillow and sleep with his old.  Little by little, push him to use his new pillow to sleep and hopefully that will do the trick.

Hello!

I am a stay at home mom of two under 2.  I have been spending quite a bit of time online lately frequenting sites like Facebook, local stores, baby and scrapbooking sites, as well as food sites for recipes.  I have found myself coming across a lot of blogs with helpful information and good tips, and thought to myself, "Hey! I can do that!  I have a lot of tips that I can share" for all you people, mommies in particular, out there.  Having two babies at home and being alone throughout most of the day can be difficult, but I do my best to get things done around the house and I can share some useful tips here with you.

I would like to share with you my opinions and tips on products, what I find useful and not, experiences that I have with my little ones at home, and tips for doing things around the house.

I hope you visit often to see what new information or tips that I have for you.  I look so forward to sharing with all you Super Mommies!
